| | | | | | | | Barlinek SA's long-standing tradition dates back to 1946, when the National Forest Wooden Works (Zakłady Drzewne Lasów Państwowych) was established. In 1975 the company changed its status to the Barlinek Wood Industry Enterprise. However, only the privatisation in 1999 brought about a real breakthrough. Consistently following the company's extension and modernisation policy, and at the same time increasing the product range, led to Barlinek SA having become a leader of wooden flooring industry in Poland over only a few years.
Production increase and, what follows, a dynamic increase in sales, prove that Barlinek products arouse keen interest among customers.
The company is also known for its care for the natural environment. Its spectacular evidence is a well-publicised ecological campaign "One-for-One Rule". It means that one tree is planted per each pack of Barkiet bought. In the growing "Barlinek Customers' Forest" there are already 1 000 000 trees and this number is constantly increasing, for which situation our customers should receive a big thank you. Providing funds for the seedlings is not everything of course. Pro-ecological activities are carried out as early as the production level - modern facilities and technologies also mean much less burden on the environment.
The present standing of the company among producers of wooden flooring proves that you cannot be modest in your requirements. Even the sceptics admit that winning and cultivating extremely demanding international markets best determines both the quality and technological excellence of Barlinek products. Therefore Barlinek SA measures the level of its success with the popularity of the company products in countries as different as the Scandinavian countries, the USA, Great Britain, France, Germany, Russia or even distant Australia. The most popular from among the products and the one which is a show-case for the company is barkiet - Barlinek floorboard, i.e. a three-layer floorboard made from precious Polish wood and exotic wood as well. It combines the advantages of a classical parquet floor with the ease of fitting characteristic for panel floors. Veneers are not less popular than barkiet. Barlinek SA is a domestic market leader in veneer production, with a growing international recognition. The company's production comprises also classical and mosaic parquetry, solid lumber floors, softwood and hardwood planks, semi-manufactured softwood products and frieze products.
The highest precision applied to Barlinek SA's products is strengthening their excellence. It goes without saying they are human- and environment-friendly. Their characteristic feature is the unchanging, long-lasting beauty of natural wood - the irreplaceable beauty.
