| | | | | | | | They have been created as a State Enterprise in 1946. The profile of the production included fabrication of the sawn timber for manufacturing wooden packages (boxes, chipbaskets, wood wool).
The production of the house furniture and upholstery furniture (couches, sofas, armachairs) has been put in motion in 1958. In the next 12 years the product line of furniture have been extended. That time the export made about 10% of selling and was directed to Hungary, former German Democratic Republic and former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR).
From 1972 until 1985 Furniture Factories were producting both upholstered furniture and typical woodworked house furniture (solids and scalebordeds). Those furniture were the object of an export to sweedish enterprise IKEA and two german enterprises. The production for export made at that time about 30% and the corner sofas were the specialization of the factory on the home market.
In 1975 with decision of the Furniture Industry Union multiplan enterprise called Lower Silesian Furniture Factories, with dwelling-place in Świdnica, was created. One of the factories includedin this structure were Furniture Factories S.A. In Lower Silesian Furniture Facturies our Company survived until the first of April 1991 when the enterprises taking part in it were divided and separated info the independent units. It was the return to condition from before the creation of Lower Silesian Factories.
At the day of becoming independent Furniture Factories employed 303 workers, and the production for export made 45%. The dufficult situation on the home market made the managament of Furniture Factories to activited directed with increase of upholstered furniture production for export with the quantitative development.
Nowadays our Company exports directly to European Union, to Israel and to Kazakhstan. Currently, our Company employs 500 workers and specializes in the production of upholstered furniture sets. Perfect-skilled workers are our bigest strenght-they contribute to super quality of our making and to finding the recepients of services on exating european market.
The Furniture Factories have their own pattern-shop in object of planing and implementation of new desings into production.
Of the first November 1997 in privatization process yhe industry have been transformated in One-persone's Treasury Company, and the process lasts until now.
All making are produced from the highest quality ecological materials and they all have attestations and certificates ISO 9000 which are demanded in European Union. We make upholstery furniture sets both in leather and furnitured wovens.
